The last men’s race of the season will start in Swedish Oestersund today and it will be mass start.
There will be fight for the World Cup trophy between two Norwegians – Johannes Thingnes Boe and this season sensation Sturla Holm Laegreid.
Our biathlon model thinks Johannes Thingnes is a favourite with 26% chance to win and 52% chance to get any medal, while Sturla Holm has 12% chance to win and 35% chance for a medal.
French Quentin Fillon Maillet has similar chances to Sturla Holm – 12 percent to win the race and 34% chance to finish in top3.
Tarjei Boe is not far behind with ten percent chance to win and 29% chance for podium.
Another French athlete, Emilien Jacquelin, is in the next row in our table with six percent chance to be first and 20% to get any medal.
Sebastian Samuelsson who will compete at his home ground ahs 7% to win the race and 21% to be in top3 according to our model.
