When Leeds United were promoted last week, the celebrations went long into the night. It was exciting to see a club with such huge potential promoted, and it looks like the Whites won’t be hanging around for long. Already with a strong squad, one name being linked with the club is Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis. The £18m-rated Nigerian has been exceptional in the Belgian top flight, and it’s believed that Marcelo Bielsa is a big fan.
Dennis has so far not turned up for much pre-season in Brugge, with the Nigerian making clear that he wants o move to a higher level of the game. The clubs manager, Philippe Clement, said that he believed it was ‘very likely’ that Dennis would play for another club in 2020-21.
It looks like that club might be Leeds. Though Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both interested, it’s believed that Leeds are at the top of the queue. Having played some of the most intoxicating football in England over the last two years, many talents appear keen to make the move to England and play for Bielsa.
This should lead to some interesting signings coming through, with many names being linked that would otherwise be out of their reach. Such is the pull of Bielsa, though, that we could see Leeds power forward and bring in some truly interesting players for their Premier League return.
Dennis, in particular, looks like a possible future signing.
